Anantara’s artist-in-residence Christopher Hogan led local orphans in arts and crafts lessons this week at Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa in the Maldives. As part of the company’s ongoing collaboration with the local community, ten children created works that will be sold at the resort over the holidays. All profits will be donated to the Children’s House, the best kind of souvenir!

You could call Christopher Hogan a big fan of Anantara. And we’re pretty pumped because we are a fan of his work, too! We recently posted about his original artwork for three different Thai wines inspired by Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa. Now Mr. Hogan is heading to his next post, the Maldives, for the month of October! Mr. Hogan plans to rotate between the tranquil Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa, Anantara Veli Resort & Spa, both in the South Male Atoll, and the luxurious and isolated Naladhu, which translates to ‘beautiful island.’ In a part of the world where everything is breathtaking, it takes a special site to be given such an honor!
Hailing from Australia, Mr. Hogan will spend the month working on his signature aboriginal art. While we think the beaches and spa treatments could pose a distraction, the serenity and peaceful vibe that is synonymous with Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas should be just the thing to get those creative juices flowing. We can’t wait to post the results!
a toast to art

Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa, located along the idyllic coast of the Gulf of Siam in Thailand, has teamed up with local Siam Winery and internationally renowned artist Christopher Hogan in a collaboration everyone can raise a glass to – and the first of its kind in Thailand.
At a tasting of Moonsoon Valley Wine at the resort last year, guests (Mr. Hogan was among them) at Hua Hin were so enamored with the local flavors from just down to road that he became inspired to create a label reflecting the wine’s natural surroundings and the beauty of Thailand.
Launching a little more than a year after his first sip, Mr. Hogans’s three limited editions bottles embody the lush tropical gardens of the resort and Thailand’s stunning marine life. The series is made from white shiraz, red shiraz, and colombard. In keeping with the local flavor, all three have been specially designed to pair well with the cuisine of Thailand and are best tasted alongside a traditional meal. We’ll drink (and eat) to that!christmas spirit
