Phuket, Thailand, December 28, 2011 \u2013 Angsana Laguna Phuket is celebrating its recent opening by inviting guests and visitors to make their mark on a charity mural designed by acclaimed Australian artist Christopher Hogan<\/strong><\/span> so that you can take pleasure of place inside the new luxury\u00a0property<\/a>\u2019s lobby.<\/p>\n

The 14 sq.m. mural would be made from 350 tiles individually painted by guests and visitors to create a distinct collage inside the distinctive purple hues of Angsana Laguna Phuket\u2019s logo colours<\/p>\n

Each tile costs THB 1,000 and the THB 350,000 raised after a deduction of apparatus cost would be used to fund art scholarships for local talented Thai youngsters in schools and universities, in collaboration with Angsana Laguna Phuket and Christopher Hogan<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe finished mural won\u2019t only be a beautiful centerpiece of out lobby area but additionally a stimulus to aid gifted local youngsters take their first step on a worthwhile career path,\u201d said Angsana Laguna Phuket general manager Jerry John.<\/p>\n

Each tile is sold to guests and visitors may be painted by them under the watchful guidance of Christopher Hogan<\/strong><\/span>. They are going to even be ready to sign the completed tile to go away their permanent mark at the resort.<\/p>\n

The tiles are on sale and will be bought in either Angsana Laguna Phuket, where Christopher Hogan<\/strong><\/span> holds free children painting lessons for resort\u2019s guests. Each tile purchase also incorporates a chance to select the mural\u2019s name. The winning entry immortalise this piece of artwork \u2013 and likewise win the lucky person three nights\u2019 accommodation in Angsana Laguna Phuket.<\/p>\n

Christopher Hogan, a global-renowned artist recognised for his unique abstract paintings, has also been Artist-in-Residence on the Laguna Phuket Summer Family Festivals where he staged art classes for local schoolchildren and helped raise thousands of baht for Laguna Phuket\u2019s community programmes.<\/p>\n
