Had a wonderful fun night at the Purple Party, closing event for the Laguna Phuket Summer Family Festival.
I would like to thank all of the management and staff of Laguna Phuket for making my artist in residence program such a success this year…a big thank you.

I am happy to tell you all that my art gallery is open in Canal Village at Laguna Phuket with my current work on exhibition.

I had an interesting art class on Saturday and here are a couple of pics.
Rewarding teaching these young people.

One of my young student, a little French girl, insisted that Beres join her for the morning. Total Enjoyment!

Here’s a pic of a great young family from USA, they asked if their little girl could do a painting, she’s only young but wanted to paint. So the whole family decided that they would help her. I think they achieved what they wanted to do on their holiday and that was do things together as a family. With busy lives, holidays with your young children mean so much and that’s what holiday memories are all about, not just being able to fly Black Hawk’s but that helps to. Here’s some pics of NEMO!

HAD A WONDERFUL GROUP OF YOUNG ARTISTS OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS JOIN ME AT CANAL VILLAGE FOR 2 HOURS OF ART AND LOTS OF FUN.
THE YOUNG GUESTS ARE PRODUCING SOME INTERESTING WORK AND I AM PROUD OF DISPLAY IT ON MY BLOG.
GREAT WHEN YOU THINK THAT THESE YOUNG KIDS PRODUCE THIS STANDARD OF ART FROM A SINGLE 2 HOUR LESSON.

I WAS ASKED TODAY BY ONE OF MY YOUNG STUDENTS HOW SHE WOULD DECIDE WHAT TO PAINT?
I EXPLAINED TO HER THAT SHE COULD USE HER ‘ARTIST LICENCE‘.
SHE SAID SHE DID NOT HAVE A LICENCE AND ASKED ME WHAT THAT WAS.
I EXPLAINED TO HER THAT IT WAS HER IMAGINATION AND THAT EVERYONE HAS ARTISTIC LICENCE THEY JUST HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO USE IT.
SHE QUICKLY GRASPED WHAT I WAS SAYING AND WENT ON TO DO AN GOOD LITTLE ART WORK.
WHEN HER MOTHER ASKED HER HOW SHE WENT AFTER THE CLASS, SHE SAID THAT IT HAD BEEN EASY BECAUSE SHE HAD FOUND HER ‘ARTIST LICENCE‘. HER MOTHER LOOKED BEMUSED AND ASKED HER WHAT THAT WAS AND SHE SAID ‘IT IS SOMETHING THAT I CARRY AROUND WITH ME IN MY HEAD’.
WE ALL ROARED WITH LAUGHTER BUT IN FACT SHE HAD GOT IT, SHE KNEW THE POINT OF THE EXERCISE.
